About Stacey A. Purcell
Texas girl by birth, child of the world by choice. While Stacey was born in Texas, it was a momentary lay-over on her family's way back to Venezuela. Her father was in the oil industry which allowed her to have a backyard in countries such as Norway, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Stacey never lived in the United States until her mother dropped her off for college in New Orleans. Talk about culture shock. Stacey earned her undergraduate (French Literature and Education) and graduate (Early Childhood Development) degrees from Tulane University. As soon as she finished, it was off to Malaysia to teach.
She was on her way to work in Beijing, China when her grandfather became ill. She returned to Texas, met her husband on an airplane, and the rest is history. They now have two children and hop planes to exotic destinations whenever they can.
In between her love of travel, cooking, painting, and decorating, she's always found time to have a good book in her hand. Victoria Holt and Kathleen Woodiwiss were early author heroes, and inspired Stacey's first novel written on a stack of stationary from a hotel in London when she was fifteen years old. She has been a member of RWA since 2009 and continues to write contemporary and romantic suspense novels.
