10th Anniversary

Ten Years

Ten years ago, we were meeting about absolutely everything, and we when we weren’t meeting, we were on the phone or emailing about getting ready to launch Boroughs Publishing Group on December 15th 2011. The website was in the final phases of development, we were attending meetings with as many author groups as we were able, and we were sending out hundreds and hundreds of emails and press releases about our up-coming launch.

On the day we opened our virtual doors, we had two books for sale: Joan Bird’s Tumbleweed Heights, and K.T. Wells’s Nobody’s Angel. They’re still available for sale on our website.

Since then, we’ve published over 500 books including a dozen or so anthologies. We started out as an ebook publisher, and about four years in, all books 40,000 words and up have been available in paperback.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe ten years have gone by. We’ve been fortunate. People have been kind and supportive from our inception, and we are grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way. We’ve met amazing authors, many of whom are still writing for us, and we’ve attended, spoken at, gave classes and seminars at, took pitches at, and sponsored conferences all over the US, the UK, and Australia.

Yet, there’s so much left to do. We have plans and so many ideas, hopes, and dreams for Boroughs Publishing Group and its ever-growing bevy of incredible authors. So, while we’re thrilled to be celebrating our Decennial, we are looking forward to our Vicennial and all the amazing things we have in the works for Boroughs Publishing Group.

Over the next couple of months, we’ll share more Boroughs Publishing Group stories, and, as you’ve seen above, you’ll get an opportunity celebrate with us, and we hope win a few wonderful giveaways we and our authors have on offer.

Check out our podcast. This month we have a few of our authors talking about their Boroughs Publishing Group journey. If you’re not following us on social media, we invite you to so you can see and join in on all the exciting things we have happening at Boroughs Publishing Group.

Here’s to the next ten years.
